What a week! This was Teacher Appreciation Week and, as always, our PTA spoiled us rotten! We are so fortunate to have such awesome families at Paxton who take the time to make us food, cut out stars and plan daily activities. We appreciate you!
The week ended with some tears though! We said goodbye to Ms. Jenkins, our student teacher. While we no longer have her in room 104, she will be an August gift to a class of second graders next year.

The Three Little Pigs
This week, it is the classic tale of The Three Little Pigs.
So much fun "getting into character".

Beginning Opinion/Persuasive Writing
We started Opinion Writing this week!
Students thought about a problem and stated why it bothers us. We also tried to give a suggestion as to how to solve the problem!

What does it feel like to emerge from a chrysalis?
This student shared with us how it felt being in the chrysalis.
The student shared that it was warm being wrapped up. She felt like she could not move! She wondered if she were making changes while being wrapped up!
Ta Da! While her "wings" are dry and not real, she emerges as a free butterfly!
Students created a representation of the life cycle as well.
See our butterflies in action!
